Felt Easter Basket – we have always received in our inbox many requests to record videos teaching how to make certain parts models step by step. As it is the epoch before Easter, this is a model piece that has been sought by our followers a dozen times. This basket-shaped rabbit shorts (or pants).
I looked for this template on the internet and found nothing, so I decided to do and meet the request of our followers. This is a simple piece to do, especially if the artisan already mastered the dots that were used in that work that was, Back Stitch and Tacking Stitch. This time I did not use the Blanket Stitch. But … every artisan has her own preference and style.
The way I taught the video was the way I work, but you should be free to play the part in the way you are most suited. I did not use the Blanket Stitch, but if you think the piece will look better sewn this way, do it your way, give your piece a personal touch.

The part of the dress that I particularly found most “annoying” to do, was when I put the circle in the bottom of the legs. In that part, I could not pin it and had to have a certain “handle” with the hands to be able to sew. However, everything went well and the result is there, as you can see.
I found a very nice suggestion to gift as a souvenir. I also imagine other versions of this piece with the many beautiful felt prints we have on the market!
In the back I pasted a pompom already bought ready, but also can be the pompom made of wool by hand. The molds come in two sizes: one with 10 cm in shorts to put bullets and small chocolates. And another 16 cm where larger and larger chocolates will fit.

Print the template on an A4 sheet. This is already in the natural size, however in some printers can occur variations, so in case of doubts of how to resize the molds access the post that we did here in the blog teaching you to work in that step. Click here and learn how.
If you have doubts or do not know how to calculate the value of your handicrafts after they are finished, click here and read our post where we teach how to do this step, a good job for everyone!
